Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the products operated by Kashi Technologies Private Limited ("Kashi", "we", "us") — Cloudbrief, Paperbrief, and the websites kashilabs.ai, app.kashilabs.ai, paperbrief.app, cloudbrief.app, and kashitechnology.com (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- You are responsible for the security of your sign-in credentials. Use a strong password, enable two-factor authentication, and don't share your account.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions by your teammates if you invite them.
- You must give us accurate registration information and keep it current.
- One workspace per signup. You may have multiple workspaces by signing up separately or being invited as a member of someone else's workspace.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services to violate any law or anyone's rights.
- Upload content you don't have the right to use.
- Attempt to break into our systems, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with other customers' use of the Services. (Responsible disclosure is welcome — see security@kashilabs.ai.)
- Resell, sublicense, or repackage the Services without our written agreement.
- Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Services beyond your own workspace's data.
- Use the Services to generate, store, or transmit malware, spam, or harassing content.
- Train a competing AI model on output we generate for you.
- Provide credentials to AWS or database accounts you don't have the right to grant access to.
3. Your data & content
You own everything you put into the Services — documents, reports, AWS configuration data you let us read, chat history, matrices. We hold it on your behalf to operate the Services.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to provide the Services to you and your team. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not share your content with anyone outside the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for backing up your data outside the Services if a backup is important to you. We make reasonable efforts to retain your data while your account is active — see retention details in the Privacy Policy.
4. Our intellectual property
The Services — the code, design, documentation, "Cloudbrief", "Paperbrief", "Kashi Labs" trademarks, and everything else we build — are owned by Kashi Technologies Pvt Ltd and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for the term of your subscription, subject to these Terms.
You don't get any rights we haven't expressly granted.
5. AI output
The Services use AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI to generate analyses, summaries, and chat replies based on data you provide. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date.
- Use judgement. Before acting on AI output — especially the kind of action that affects production systems or money — verify it against the underlying data we cite.
- Not professional advice. AI output is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or engineering advice. Talk to a qualified human for that.
- Output ownership. To the extent we have any rights in AI output produced for your account, we assign them to you for use within your account.
6. Fees, billing, and refunds
6.1 Subscription
Paid features require an active subscription. Prices are shown in the product before you subscribe. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Admin → Billing; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
6.2 Taxes
Prices shown are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes, which we add at the rate prevailing on the invoice date.
6.3 Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we determine a refund is warranted in our reasonable discretion (e.g. an erroneous charge or extended platform downtime). Refunds, when given, return to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.
6.4 AI usage costs
Some products meter AI usage — we show what you've spent in Workspace → Usage. Where pricing is metered, the rate shown to you may include a margin over our cost of inference.
6.5 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we'll email you and retry over the next few days. Persistent failure may suspend or downgrade your account.
7. Suspension & termination
You may terminate any time by deleting your account from Settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your use poses a security risk, if your account is materially overdue on payment, or if we're required to by law. Where the breach is curable we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to fix it.
On termination, we will erase your personal data and content within the windows described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that are meant to survive — IP, liability limits, governing law — continue after termination.
8. Warranties & disclaimers
We provide the Services as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We don't warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will meet your requirements; nor that AI output will be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost data.
- Our total liability for any claim under these Terms is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 10,000.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — for example, liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by gross negligence.
10. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Services, or your content infringing someone else's rights.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in [city — to be set, typically the city of our registered office], India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation.
